KIWANIS is a worldwide service organization of individuals who want to improve their communities. As a group, they can achieve what they cannot do alone.
These men and women attend KIWANIS club meetings for fellowship and inspiration. They perform voluntary community service through committees. . .usually after hours.
KIWANIS is not a social club or political society. It does not prescribe a way of life for others. It does, however, act as a forum for diverse ideas.
KIWANIS performs service beyond the capability of the individual: assistance to the aging, the needy and to youth; improvement to communities; and encouragement of international understanding.
The local chapter of KIWANIS is the Kiwanis Club of Granite Bay. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 AM in the Community Room of the Raley's Grocery Store at the intersection of Douglas and Auburn-Folsom Boulevards.
You are welcome to join us for coffee, doughnuts, fellowship, and (usually) an inspirational and/or informative speaker.
